If you are vacationing at Kaleidoscope, I congratulate you on your good choice, and good fortune. The charm of a private mountain cabin requires mountain roads. Please print these explicit instructions to ensure that you will find your way quickly and easily

From Pigeon Forge, Light #3, Go west about 2.5 miles, until you see a turning circle on your right. This is your landmark for Walden Creek Rd. The traffic light is Walden Creek Road. Make a right turn. About one mile ahead, look for Goose Gap road on the right, and Old Valley Road on the left. This is your check in location. Upon leavng the Maajestic MOuntain Vacations office check in, go west about one more mile. Look for a green sign saying "Shagbark" on the left. Turn left onto N. Clearfork Road. Proceed to the security guard house.

At the Guard house, the road is called North Clearfork Road. Go 1.2 miles.

The road forks, with the left fork going toward the club house. The right fork continues up the hill. This is "Hatcher Top Road"Go 0.2 miles on Hatcher Top. You will see the road divides right and left. The left is Black Walnut. The right is the continuation of Hatcher Top. It is a pretty sharp right. Go 0.2 miles up the hill.

There is now a hairpin left turn onto Overholt Trail. Go 0.4 miles on Overholt. It is paved, but a little bumpy. At 0.4 miles, go slowly because Overholt bears right, but just over the rise look for a sign with a reflector on a tree that says "Pinecrest Lane" It veers to the left and down a hill.

Pinecrest Lane is a gravel road, but easily passable. You will go past one cabin and one driveway before you get there. At 0.2 miles, look on the left for a paved driveway. Kaleidoscope is set down from the road, so you will see the cabin with its distinctive green metal roof. This is your destination, Kaleidoscope.

Pinecrest Lane is a cul de sac, and there is a large area above the cabin to easily turn around if you like. Sounds like a long way, but it really is only a couple of miles from the Guard house. It will be worth the trip.
